Filter Flow Gauge Troubleshooting
Observation Possible Cause Recommended Solution
Zero reading on
filter flow gauge
Power off Press the POWER button on the
membrane panel of the evacuator.
Filter defective Replace the filter.
Filter improperly seated in
evacuator
Reseat the filter with the
evacuator power off.
Tubing loose or
not connected
Ensure that the tubing is securely
connected below the sort
chamber and to the filter module.
Tubing kinked or damaged Inspect the tubing for kinks or
punctures. Replace the tubing, if
needed.
Wrong tubing type or part Ensure that the correct type of
tubing is in use.
Erratic reading on
filter flow gauge
Defective filter Replace the filter.
Filter improperly seated
in evacuator
Reseat the filter with the
evacuator power off.
Off-scale reading on
filter flow gauge
Tubing or sort collection
chamber obstructed
•Inspect the tubing for kinks or
punctures. Replace the tubing,
if needed.
•Check for obstructions in the
sort collection chamber.
Remove any obstruction.
Filter clogged or saturated Replace the filter as described on
page 290.
