Removing the Deflection Plates
You can remove the deflection plates for cleaning by pulling the plates out using
the deflection plate removal tool, supplied in the accessory kit. See Figure 6-29.

1 Make sure the deflection plates are turned off.
2 Open the sort block door.
3 Slide the deflection plate removal tool behind one of the plates and pull
straight out from the sort block.
Hold your thumb on the plate (or use your other hand) as you pull it out so
it does not fall as you remove it.
